Your Company — Paid Time Off (PTO) Policy Purpose Your Company provides paid time off so employees can rest, recharge, and tend to personal matters. This policy explains how PTO is earned, requested, and approved. Who is covered All full-time employees are eligible for PTO. This policy covers vacation and sick leave. How PTO is earned Each full-time employee receives 15 days of PTO per calendar year, available at the start of the year. PTO is counted in business days (Monday–Friday). Weekends and company holidays do not count against an employee's balance. Carryover Employees may carry over up to 5 unused days into the following year. Any balance above this limit is forfeited at year end. Requesting time off To request PTO, employees should submit a request to their manager at least 14 days in advance where possible. Requests are approved based on business needs and team coverage. Your Company will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests. Approval A manager will review and respond to each request promptly. Once approved, the time is deducted from the employee's balance. Questions Direct any questions about this policy to your manager or People team. This policy is a template and should be reviewed against your local labor laws before use.
